Canadian Immigration: Lowest CRS Score of 483 in Latest Draw
In the latest Express Entry draw held on April 26th, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent out 3,500 invitations to candidates with active profiles in the Express Entry pool since April 22nd, 2023, or before. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off for this draw was 483 points, making it the lowest CRS score requirement for an Express Entry draw in 2023.
Express Entry is the main pathway for skilled workers to immigrate to Canada. It manages the profiles of candidates under three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.
The latest draw saw a slight decrease in the CRS score requirement from the previous draw held on April 12th, 2023, which had a cut-off score of 487. This draw also saw more invitations issued, indicating that the IRCC is continuing to prioritize the entry of skilled workers to Canada.
The low CRS score requirement is good news for candidates who may have been unsure about their Express Entry eligibility. It is also a positive development for Canada’s economy, as it continues to attract skilled workers from around the world to support its growth and development.
