Family immigration is one of the ways to immigrate to Canada and reunite with your loved ones.

There are several different streams of family immigration available in Canada. The following are some of the options:

  1. Spousal Sponsorship: Canadian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor their spouse or common-law partner to come to Canada as a permanent resident.
  2. Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship: Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada as permanent residents.
  3. Dependent Child Sponsorship: Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their dependent children under the age of 22 or older children who are financially dependent on them, to come to Canada as permanent residents.
  4. Other Family Members: Canadian citizens and permanent residents may also be able to sponsor other eligible family members such as siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren to come to Canada as permanent residents.

Each stream has its own eligibility criteria and requirements. The process and processing time can also vary depending on the stream and the individual case.
